The 2018 'Picnic in the Park' was again supported by PCI members and friends, with people coming from all over the Dublin, Meath, Wicklow and Waterford areas to take part.

Wasnt as nice an evening as last year with a cool breeze to keep everyone awake! The weather forecast might have conspired against the same big attendance as previous years with perhaps only 200 or so classic & vintage cars & bikes there. Unbelievably there have been more than 400 cars there last year.

About 15 or so Porsche cars turned up at this years Picnic in the Park including a few non-member cars. This group included a couple of 997 Turbos and a few 'ordinary' Porsche!  :) Got a bit windy & cooler around 6pm with many of the classics heading off from then. PCI members are made of sterner stuff, so waited at least another 5 minutes before one or two disappeared???

The Picnic is an annual event organised by the Irish Veteran and Vintage Car Club https://www.ivvcc.ie/ and every year they host this to benefit LauraLynn Childrens Charity https://lauralynn.ie/ who provide palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Definitely a good cause and one that PCI members have fully embraced over the last 10 years.

Thanks to everyone who came along to support the fundraising event organised by the IVVCC in aid of LauraLynn Childrens Charity
